SAVE Dade Executive Director to Speak at Event Featuring Four Local Mayors

SAVE Dade Executive Director CJ Ortuño will be speaking today about the local and statewide issues currently affecting LGBT people at the 1st Annual “State of Our Community” Luncheon. The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is presenting the event featuring four Miami-Dade area mayors at the Hilton Miami Downtown.
Ortuño will be joining Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez who last year credited SAVE Dade as “critical to my success and my winning” in addition to City of Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado, City of Coral Gables Mayor Jim Cason, and City of Miami Beach Mayor Matti Herrera-Bower.
“It’s an honor to be invited to come speak about the present issues affecting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender across Miami-Dade County and all of Florida,” said Ortuño. “Including organizations doing pro-equality work like SAVE Dade into the conversation with local lawmakers is a vital part to achieving equality for all.”
