After a comprehensive endorsement process, the SAVE Dade Action PAC is proud to endorse Philip Stoddard for Mayor and Josh Liebman for Commissioner Group II in the South Miami Elections this Tuesday, February 14th.

Mayor Philip Stoddard is the incumbent Mayor of South Miami and affirmed his support for LGBT equality in his questionnaire and in-person interview. Dr. Stoddard believes firmly that all people should be treated equally and that discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity will not be tolerated while he is Mayor. He joined the South Miami Commission after the safe passage of a nondiscrimination and domestic partnership ordinance, but affirmed his support of their importance and security in his city. While his opponent also expressed his support of the community, we believe Dr. Stoddard has community-wide support and a campaign strategy to win. For these reasons he has earned the SAVE Dade Action PAC endorsement.

Josh Liebman is running in an open seat for Commission Group II and passionately declared his support for the equal treatment of people who are LGBT. Mr. Liebman has a promising future as an elected official with a clear vision for South Miami. Diversity plays an integral role in this vision which speaks to the values of SAVE Dade and its mission. For these reasons he has earned the SAVE Dade Action PAC endorsement.
